State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has been constituted as the nodal agency under the Department of Urban Employment and Poverty abolition Program at the state level in the government. This agency is registered under the Societies Registration Act since 20 November 1990. SUDA's headquarter is located at 23 / 7 Sector - 7 Gomti Nagar Extension,next to Dial 112, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) has been established at the district level to conduct various works of SUDA.Through these, various schemes for the social and economic upliftment of the urban poor are being implemented at the district level.The concerned District Magistrate is the ex-officio chairman of the Urban Development Agency of the district.
